Nickel Plate Road 40′ Double Sheathed, Single Door Boxcar Hutchins ends/Murphy XLA roof

Description

1923 built Nickel Plate Road “high cube” double sheathed, double door Auto car converted to single door configuration. This version, one of three variants we offer, has the Hutchins ends with Murphy XLA roof as applied to 100 cars of the order. The roof is properly modeled with visible seams at the roof edge.

Features;

• Pre drilled grab iron holes, saving time and providing guaranteed accuracy. No more crooked grab irons.
• Draft gear compatible with Kadee whisker couplers.
• Prototypical fishbelly underframe with KC brakes and brake piping.
• Threaded brass inserts for mounting the body, couplers and trucks. No more stripped out threads in plastic.
